Transapennin Gran Sasso Uli Stanciu (Herausgeber Bike Magazin) & Wolfgang Renner (Inhaber Centurion – Renner): Uli´s Kommentar zur Silvia Rey Route: „Von der Planung her eine sehr schöne Tour, bei der man die Mitte Italiens gut kennen lernt. Absolute Highlights der Sirente Nationalpark und der Campo Imperatore. Auch gastronomisch war ich sehr angetan und würde sagen es war überdies auch eine kulinarische Reise. Kompliment: Es ist ALPS Tours gelungen, in diesem schwierigen Gelände die optimale Trasse zu finden.

Quer durch Italien von Rom bis zur Ostküste auf wunderschönen Schotterstraßen bergauf wie bergab. Zwischen knackigen Anstiegen gibt es immer wieder heiße Trails bergab die jedem Bikerherz eine riesen Freude bereiten! Immer, besonders am Campo imperatore gibts es eine wunderbare Weitsicht der traumhaften Landschaft. Die Unterkünfte sind spitzenklasse, vor allem die Agritourismo durch ihre Gemütlichkeit und durch die erstklassige Italienische Küche lassen sie das richtige Urlaubsfeeling aufkommen.Nicht zu vergessen das fabelhafte Guiding und die gesamte Organisation der Tour läßt wirklich keine Wünsche offen und macht Lust auf die nächste Tour!

Finally, I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed not only the tour but your guests as well. They were all so friendly and there was always a willing translator. They were all very good natured with a great sense of humor. Always making of fun of the lone American. Also, Jurgen was especially attentive. He continually made me feel welcome and made sure I had everything I needed. The food and the accommodations were fantastic as was the scenery. The crown jewel was the reception on the beach at the conclusion of the tour. I have lots of photos and many fond memories. I’m still remembering the amazing Transapennin mountain bike trip, food, and the amazing time in Rome afterwards. So please accept my thanks for an extremely eye opening, soul enriching and challenging week. It was truly one of the top 5 trips I’ve taken in my life, and I’m glad I was able to do it with such a great group and great team of guides.
